This portable lectern can also be used alone as a tabletop lectern, by setting it upon a table or desk.  The table top portion does not have speakers.
 
The portable lectern can be used with the base as a full height and sound podium. The podium when used with the base, features a battery powered built in microphone, has 1/4" input if you want to attach a wired mic and runs up to 7 hours on single charge.  The podium can reach crowd of 500+ people.
