Delivery Policies

STANDARD WEEKDAY DELIVERY OPTIONS:

Orders less than $1500 in rentals (not including labor, delivery, taxes, etc.) do not qualify for a delivery option and will be available for customer pick up from our Lewis Center location.

Orders that reach a $1500 or more rental minimum may qualify for a delivery option during our standard business week, Monday - Friday between 9:00 am - 6:00 pm.  Orders must meet delivery and pick up parameters to qualify.  The delivery fee is determined based on a multitude of factors and cannot be determined until all factors are determined.

If an order qualifies for a delivery option, the delivery must be made to a local event venue or business with in Columbus.  Homeowner deliveries are not available at this time.

Orders that qualify for a delivery option must also meet pick up guidelines.  Pick ups are made on the next standard business day and times cannot be guaranteed.  If a venue needs items picked up at the end of an event, on a weekend, or by a set time, orders will not be able to be accommodated for delivery/pick up options.

WEEKEND DELIVERY OPTIONS:

Weekend delivery options are limited due to time constraints and high demand.

To qualify for a weekend delivery/pick up option a rental minimum of $3500 must be reached to be considered.

In addition to the standard delivery rate, a weekend overtime delivery fee and separate overtime pick up fee is added to each order.  The minimum overtime rate is $525 per trip.  The total fee is based on the size of the order.

Weekend delivery/pick up options are in high demand and subject to availability for the date requested.  Peak event season dates usually fill up 8-10 months in advance.

   

ALL DELIVERIES:

All deliveries are priced for a standard drop.  Deliveries are made to a dock or flat, paved, surface.  Our drivers must be able to roll in carts without any steps, wheelchairs ramps, grass, gravel, elevators, etc.  If carts cannot fit up ramps, through doorways, or have steps it will be left in the closest accessible location to the entrance.  Please note that older buildings, narrow ramps, and non-freight elevators are not always accessible.  If required to off load items from carts and hand carry items at delivery and/or pick up, additional overtime and labor fees will be added to the contact and delivery will be held until paid.  

RENTER RESPONSIBILITY:

As the renter, it is your responsibility to communicate with the venue and communicate all delivery/pick up parameters to us.  We do not contact the venue on your behalf to make arrangements.  

We will need a point of contact for the day of delivery.  Name and phone so the driver can get in touch if the doors are locked or they have difficulty on-site.

If any delivery changes are made after the initial time of contract, they are subject to availability and additional costs.

It is recommended that you or someone representing you be present for delivery.  All items should be checked in at delivery and photos should be taken of all items.  All items should be returned to the same location as the delivery and be packed in same containers, on the same carts if applicable.

Initial weekday delivery dates are considered placeholders until the week of delivery and may be changed due to the final delivery schedule route.  Timeframes for deliveries are not possible prior to the day of delivery.  If requested, the driver can notify you when in transit to the delivery location.  Due to unknown factors such as traffic, weather, complicated deliveries, etc, it is not possible to guarantee a set day/time.  Our deliveries are made until they are completed.  The delivery date on your initial contract is not guaranteed.  

Generally, rates are quoted for a one-day, single-use event. Will Call days are Mondays and Thursdays for customers who pick up and return equipment on their own. Arrangements for customers utilizing Event Essentials’ delivery, pick up and labor services will be made on a case-by-case basis depending on customer needs, staffing, delivery assets, venue requirements, etc. Typically, this allows obtaining the equipment at least the day before the event and return the next business day after the event. This allows for 2 or 3 days out for a one day price. If you require a different rental period or accommodation, please contact us for rate information.
